You Can Now Rent The Notorious B.I.G.’s Brooklyn Childhood Home

And if you don’t know, now you know.

If you’re a diehard hip-hop fan, then chances are you’re across the major way The Notorious B.I.G. has recently been honoured by his hometown of Brooklyn, New York, with childhood block being renamed ‘Christopher “Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace Way’.

Now, Biggie fans have the opportunity to immerse themselves in more hip-hop/B.I.G. culture, renting out the rapper’s childhood home. As The NY Post reports, the home – which Biggie references in his 1994 classic ‘Juicy’ – is far from the ‘one room shack’ it used to be.

For a cool USD $4000 a month, you can stay in the St. James Place home in the now heavily-gentrified area of Clinton Hill in Brooklyn. Now a completely renovated three bedroom home with high ceilings and no other remnants of its poorer origins, aside from the building’s original windows and moldings.

Estate broker Fabienne Lecole commented on the neighbourhood, “It’s so calm and residential now. It’s hard to imagine it’s the same street that he sang about with all the drugs and gunfire. It couldn’t be more different.”

It was all a dream, it seems.
