You Can Own A Mason Jar Filled With Sia’s Breath

International hit-maker, songwriter for the stars and Adelaide native Sia has selflessly donated a jar of her own chart-topping breath, to be auctioned off at the Adelaide Film Festival’s film quiz night, all in the aid of charity.

Perhaps as a nod to the 2004 hit Breathe Me, which famously found its way onto the Six Feet Under soundtrack for an intense and memorable television event, Sia’s jar of magic air will be auctioned off at an event hosted by fellow Australian treasures Margaret Pomeranz and David Stratton.

“Gorgeously and magnificently, she breathed into a jar for us,” film festival director and CEO Amanda Duthie explained on the event’s website. “Her breath is in a Mason jar with silver sealing wax, so no one can accidentally open it. Whoever wins will be able to break the seal — or just let it be.”

The proceeds of the sale will go towards aiding Adelaide filmmakers. Other live auction prizes include a walk-on ‘extra’ role in Anthony LaPaglia’s new feature film A Month of Sunday and a chance to be a street clown in Adelaide’s Credit Union Christmas Pageant.

The Adelaide Film Festival’s film quiz night will take place this Friday October 31st, from 6.30pm, at the Channel Nine studios in North Adelaide.
