The 1975 – ‘Somebody Else’

The 1975 are back with a brand new video for the latest single off their US and UK number 1 album I Like It When You Sleep Because You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It, picking up where their video for A Change Of Heart left off.

Taking the band’s unique and stylish aesthetic and running with it, the clip sees the band’s frontman Matt Healy exploring London after dark as he is suffering through heart ache while trying to deal with his own narcissism. Directed by Tim Mattia, he and the band paint a Lynchian picture of the city, drawing us in effortlessly.

With the band set to return to our shores later this month for Splendour in the Grass, as well as side shows in Sydney and Melbourne, the clip is just what we need to whet our appetite ahead of their shows. Surreal, moving and emotive, it certainly stands up as one of the band’s best clips.

Bu that’s enough of me waxing lyrical check it out for yourself.
