Interview: City Calm Down – Putting Themselves Out There

City Calm Down is a band that’s becoming harder and harder not to notice. The young outfit have had a stella year, having spent much of 2012 separating themselves from the pack and rising to levels many of their peers will simply not experience.

Not too long ago, the lads released their latest EP Movements. Since its release date of November 2, the release has not lost a single bit of momentum. Having just launched the record in their hometown of Melbourne, City Calm Down made the trek up to the big smoke for a Sydney release, and to also have a chat with the Music Feeds crew.

Speaking with the boys, we uncover much of the backstory behind the release, as well as those who played a part in influencing it. This was the first release through the band’s recent partner in crime I OH YOU records – a partnership that the band are clearly chuffed about.

This isn’t the last you’ll hear of City Calm Down, so I suggest you jump on the bandwagon now, before the hungry masses get to them.
