Dappled Cities – Battlewon (Unplugged At Music Feeds Studio)

It’s been a big year so far for Sydney crew Dappled Cities. Celebrating their big double-digit anniversary, the band announced a run of intimate 10th anniversary shows, getting up close and personal with the fans, who were able to pick and choose the tracks they wanted to hear performed. Prior to these, the band stopped by Music Feeds Studio for a bit of a jam and an interview. The shenanigans were all streamed live but we’ve got the goods here for those who missed out.

Keeping good on their promise of delving deep into their back catalogue for their upcoming run of shows, the boys performed the track Battlewon which featured on their second full-length studio album, Granddance. The track dates all the way back to 2006 so is sure to tickle the fancy of even the most particular Dappled Cities fan.

Once again, the band left it to acoustics to build the track while in the studio. Those familiar with the finale track off Granddance will recall the rolling drums and fuzzy guitar of the original, but this unplugged version does the job just fine.
