Fickle Friends – ‘Brooklyn’

If you dug what you heard/saw in Fickle Friends’ previous video offerings, you’ll be beyond stoked on what they’ve put together for their latest single Brookyln.

Just in time for summer, Brooklyn gives us the perfect excuse to get our boogie on, and shake off these icicles clinging to our joints. Bringing into 2016 the electro-pop we’ve come to know and love from the 80s, Fickle Friends add some minty freshness to the wave, rather than simply emulating it.

Acclaimed director Charlotte Rutherford, whom you may know from offerings from Perfume Genius and Marina & The Diamonds, perfectly honed in on the whimsical nature of the song, allowing the visual counterpart to perfectly bring forth the shimmering chorus and easy-breezey verse.

The UK outfit are making waves the world over now, with their run of singles each copping a well deserved flogging on headphones and airwaves the world over. Now if you’ll excuse me, we have some more icicles to boogie off…
