Future Music Festival 2015: Hilltop Hoods Talk New Music & The State Of Aussie Hip Hop

Australian hip hop royalty, Hilltop Hoods, are making their debut Future Music Festival appearances this year. The South Australian trio recently sat down with Music Feeds at the Sydney leg of the festival to discuss the current climate in Aussie hip hop, and when their next album will finally be released.

Hilltop Hoods still haven’t locked in a date for their anticipated Walking Under Stars follow-up, but the boys reassured fans that something will most probably be coming out in 12 months time. “There is definitely something coming to accompany everything else,” Suffa said.

Aside from their next album, Hilltop Hoods also gave their views on the current state of Aussie hip hop. “It’s crazy to see artists going platinum, selling out tours,” MC Pressure said. “[Aussie hip hop] was very underground when we started and now it’s up with the most popular genres throughout the country, so it’s awesome.”
