Gypsy & The Cat – Lower the ‘Bloom’ On The Late Blue

Xavier and Lionel, the creative partners in crime that together form Gypsy & The Cat, caught up with Music Feeds as the release date for their new album draws closer and closer.

Set to hit shelves October 19, The Late Blue saw the boys draw from a multitude of influences, as they explain, from the 60s to Zombies, and Pink Floyd. Even the name of the release took inspiration from a moment in time captured by the duo while caught up in nature.

The boys discuss the ‘summer music’ label attached to their music, as their music is solely written in winter, as well as the new techniques undertaken during the recording process of The Late Blue. The boys justify the decision of releasing the album independently, and the troubles with being on a major label.
