Interview: At First Sight Festival – Songs

Sydney’s inaugural At First Sight festival launched at Carriageworks in Sydney on Saturday, pulling in an array of music fans and seemingly every vinyl lover – be they mild enthusiast or feverish addict – to throw their support behind independent record stores. Though the enormous record fair was certainly a main attraction, the live music was also a big calling card, with a great lineup of bands and DJs performing. Music Feeds was on ground for the whole show, and we got to talk to a bunch of the lovely people playing.

With their debut album Malabar still fresh, Songs were easily one of the most anticipated performances of the day. We caught up with the band to chat about reckless vinyl shopping, the process behind the record and, of course, all future happenings for the band.
