Interview: Bloc Party – Future Music 2013

Bloc Party were one of the main attractions at this month’s Future Music Festival. Currently touring behind 2012 LP Four, the English quartet are not only revelling in their comeback but also looking towards the future.

As lead guitarist Russell Lissack told Music Feeds backstage at Future Music Sydney, Bloc Party is currently working on a new EP expected out sometime in mid-2013. At the time of interview, Lissack said Bloc Party had 2 new songs recorded and the material is sounding like the next step in the band’s evolution.

Lissack also spoke about his displeasure of writing on the road, compromising for the good of the music, being mindful of too much democracy within the band, and jumping around on trampolines for Bloc Party’s latest music video for the single, Truth.
