Interview: Django Django – Splendour In The Grass 2012

Off the back of playing to a ‘right good number’ of punters at the mix up tent, cold, tired, confused and oblivious are words you would never use to describe British band Django Django, however when we caught them backstage at SITG these were the hot topics we covered in a hilarious and yet informative fashion. Considering they were running on little to no sleep, the band was exploding with energy as the treated the crowd to their wild concoction of genre bending pop. Sporting matching tye dye t-shirts and denim cut offs, exposing their ‘knobbly little Scottish legs’ the masses danced wildly away to the tribal essence of Fire Water, the sun bleached Waveforms and the familiar power chords of Default. Talking to Music Feeds TV about their musical, social and touring habits, it’s safe to say these guys are anything but ‘pants’.
