Interview: Eagle And The Worm – Having An Identity, And Going Against It

Speaking on behalf of the 8-piece Melbourne outfit Eagle and the Worm, Jarred caught up with Music Feeds while the gang was in town touring in support of their latest release Strangelove, following in the footsteps of the wildly successful debut full-length Good Times.

Starting things off with a chat about the band’s live show, Jarred mentions that every show is unique in its own way, and should therefore be treated as such. The live side of things is a very important part of the band. Part of the reasoning behind choosing 8 musicians for the band is for the unreal stage presence it would allow. It’s a lot of work, as he explains, but “as it comes together, you get to put on a huge show,”

Jarred also explains the key elements behind their eclectic soundscape, which has come to identify the band. This time round, the whole band spent a month getting to know the new tracks, which shines through in the final product.

The tour is still rolling, so be sure to keep an eye out for your chance to see the live extravaganza that is Eagle and the Worm.
