Interview: Icona Pop – Living The Dream Pt. 2

Part 2 of our interview with the duo sees them explain in further detail their love for collaborations, finding that the shared creative energy between artists is a massive rush, and with the full-length just around the corner, the girls confirm that we can expect some more collaborations. Judging by the looks on their faces, they are set to be wicked cool.

Their debut LP is now in its final stages of production. As they explain, there’s not too much more to be done before it’s ready to be wrapped up. Now with an impending full-length on their hands, the pair explain it as ‘super weird’, and that they are feeling both scared and excited, feeling as though they’re releasing a child as opposed to an album.

The girls were stumped when asked what is exciting them the most about the release, the whole idea seems to be exciting them – though it probably doesn’t help when they are wanting to keep their cards close to their chest.

Icona Pop see themselves as a live band, something that needs to be seen to be believed, which is something many Aussie fans can now confirm. The pair share a little bit with us about what goes into their live performance and how important it is to keep things fresh.
