Interview: Kate Martin – Peats Ridge 2012

While taking in the vibes of her maiden Peats Ridge festival, the lovely Kate Martin stopped by the Music Feeds HQ, apple in hand, for a bit of a chat.

After the release of her latest studio effort Hand Me My Bow and Arrow, Martin achieved the status of a shape-shifting artist. Exploring all the corners of her musical universe, Martin’s music has found serious traction amongst the fanbase. This is so much so that the track Autumn Swirl, lifted from her previous release, has been synced to the forthcoming Australia Day 2013 commercial – a solid pat-on-the-back from her native land.

The strong reception of the release is no accident at all either. Martin clocked a solid 18 months on the record, meticulously tracking her vision.

They say an artist’s work is never complete, and Martin seems to be no exception. The songstress has distributed tracks from Hand Me My Bow and Arrow to a number of colleagues and friends for a series of remixes.
