Interview: Of Monsters and Men ‘Another Wonderful Icelandic Oddball’

There’s something especially unique about every act from Iceland. No really – think about the list of artists that have come out of this isolated part of the world and you’ll see: Bjork, Sigur Ros, Amiina etc etc. They all produce wonderfully obscure music that is hard to compare to anything else – purely because 9 times out of 10 – it’s very special. Well there’s a new one to add to the list of beautiful oddness. The amazing Icelandic indie-folk band Of Monsters and Men are in Australia for their first tour of our shores, and blessed are we to have them visit. 3 members of the 6 piece (with extraordinary names that sound like an old school cassette tape on rewind when you try to pronounce them) spoke with Music Feeds senior journalist Patrick Abboud about the raging success they’re experiencing right now.
