Australian balladeer Pete Murray recently released Blue Sky Blue – The Byron Sessions, a reworking of 2011 record Blue Sky Blue. With The Byron Sessions, Murray has enlisted the help of fellow musicians to help interpret his fifth studio album.

Those appearing on The Byron Sessions include Powderfinger’s former frontman Bernard Fanning, Ash Grunwald, bassists Scott Owen from The Living End, George vocalist Katie Noonan, and emerging singer Fantine.

2013 also marks the 10th anniversary of Murray’s breakthrough album Feeler. Despite the milestone, there’s presently no word on whether the multi-platinum record, which ranked 81 on triple j’s Hottest 100 Australian Albums of All Time, will receive the reissue treatment.
