Interview: Pez – The Comeback Kid

Behind his current single, The Game, Pez is currently making his way across the nation on his first Australian headlining tour in over 3 years, also taking part in Groovin The Moo 2013, which begins this Saturday in Maitland.

It’s been 5 long years since Pez (real name Perry Chapman) burst onto the scene behind the undeniably joyful summer anthem The Festival Song, taken from 2008 debut album A Mind Of My Own.

The rapid rise to notoriety saw Chapman become withdrawn as the rapper dealt with newfound expectation, stage fright and Graves’ disease. Now both physically and mentally healthy, Pez is ready to return to the top.

His yet-to-be titled second album is roughly scheduled for an August release and ,as Pez explained to Music Feeds, the long road to recovery has given Chapman new perspective on life, live shows and hip hop.
