Interview: Self Is A Seed On Debut Record ‘Siren’

Sydney prog-rock outfit, Self Is A Seed, have given the songs on their debut album Siren a serious amount of attention. The 4-piece have been working on the tracks for the album from as early as 2007, with the members of the band all living together during the writing process. Guitarist Craig Smith and vocalist-guitarist David Bleus came by the Feeds studio to tell us all about it.

Dave fills us in on the creepy back-story behind the track Doctor, inspired by a religious cult in the Czech Republic, and Craig talks about the challenges of making and funding Siren while juggling work, families and mortgages and dealing with line-up changes in the band.

The guys also tell us about the making of the music video for the title track Siren, released last week.
