Interview: Strangers at Bigsound 2011

Standing surrounded by indie pop and spectral folk bands Strangers play heavy and angry music, drawing heavily on the attitude of punk rock. Their music draws heavily on personal experience, turning them into what Sinatra, and the band themselves, quoted as “the most brutal, ugly, desperate, vicious form of expression it has been my misfortune to hear.” Set on playing as much as possible, the band seeing the road as the ideal fire to forge themselves in, we caught up with the guys at Big Sound on a rare break.
