Interview: The Presidents of the United States of America – Goof & Grunge (Part 1)

The Presidents of the United States of America (PUSA) recently finished up their Australian tour, which saw the longstanding rock act play their multi platinum ’95 debut album in full along with a collections of singles, popular tracks and rarities.

Behind singles like Kitty, Lump and Peaches, PUSA garnered worldwide acclaim for songs that, while most notable for their goofy lyrics, still often fed off the grunge dynamic made popular by bands like Nirvana and Pearl Jam.

While in the country the trio of Chris Ballew, Jason Finn and Andrew McKeag stopped into Music Feeds Studio to perform acoustic versions of Feather Pluckn & Jennifer’s Jacket and talk about being an alternative to alternative bands in the ’90s Seattle grunge scene.
