Interview: Waxahatchee Chats Her “Gassy” New Album And The Importance Of Home

Having made her name in the US as an indie rock powerhouse, Katie Crutchfield aka Waxahatchee returned to 2015 with her third LP Ivy Tripp and luckily for us, brought her bag of woozy new tunes to Australia for a quick tour and a chance to chat with us!

Talking about the differences between her last two albums with presenter Luke, Katie touched on where she was coming from with the releases, noting “The lyrical content I think [makes the difference], with Cerulean Salt it was all really experience based and with Ivy Tripp it’s more observational and my own pondering on some grander subjects and more general subjects.”

You can check out our review and pics of her Newtown Social Club show from the weekend, here.
