Interview: Wet Talk New Album & Being Inspired By London Grammar

Brooklyn three-piece Wet are in the country playing a bunch of shows supporting London Grammar and according to the band they’re taking inspiration from their British counterparts’ stage show.

“Playing in bigger venues, you start thinking about the show in a different way and it’s really exciting to think about how we can start to grow the show to fit those spaces,” says drummer Joe Valle.

“Seeing London Grammar’s show has been so inspiring,” explains singer Kelly Zutrau. “It’s a huge production and we don’t really have a lot of production at this point. Soon we’ll be touring on our album and we’re getting really excited about [things] like lights and other aspects we can improve.”

Speaking of their forthcoming debut album, fans should expect a more “lush” sounding record then their self-titled debut EP. Wet say we can expect the album this year, around Spring in Australia, but they’ll be releasing some singles “very, very soon”.
