Jack River On Her Debut EP, Tour, And Finding A Friend In A Fan

NSW mid-coast singer-songwriter Jack River is well and truly on the up, recently releasing her debut EP Highway Songs No. 2, and set to embark on a national tour straight off the back of it. Her style reaches the far corner of electro ’90s pop through to chorus belting indie-rock.

In this Music Feeds exclusive interview, Holly Rankin (AKA Jack Rivers) talks about the writing and rewriting of the lyrics for her single Palo Alto, while reminiscing on her love of reading the dictionary as a kid. She discusses the formation of her EP and how she had to allow the right songs amidst many to rise to the top. She also reflects fondly on her newfound friend, made when a triple j listener going through a break up requested Talk Like That, and Holly (AKA Jack Rivers) reached out to her so they could watch break up movies together and talk it out. What a gal.
