Listen Out 2013 Interviews: Azealia Banks Talks Debut LP And Sequel

We spoke to Azealia Banks at Listen Out 2013 Sydney. The Harlem rapper told Music Feeds that she’s spent 2013 “travelling the world” while “collecting [her] thoughts [and] chronicling them in songs”.

Banks indicated that her long-awaited debut LP Broke With Expensive Taste has been completed (fans can expect it January or February next year) and that she’s already begun work on the follow-up, saying she has “a million ideas” and “a million leftover tracks.”

When asked about the delay in releasing Broke With Expensive Taste, Banks explained that “we’re still mixing…we’ve got a million and one producers on the record…we’ve got all these different frequencies and all these different things happening,” adding, “There’s a whole bunch of computer magic we have to do.”
