Ngaiire – ‘Diggin’

Papua New Guinea-born singer-songwriter Ngaiire is in the middle of touring the country for Groovin The Moo, but that hasn’t stopped her from announcing the release date of her forthcoming album.

Blastoma will be Ngaiire’s sophomore LP – and is set to be released on Friday, 10th June. As part of the announcement, she has also unveiled the official music video for her latest single Diggin.

The video was co-produced by Ngaiire herself – and is a dark, gold-textured and often glittering visual representation of Diggin, featuring the flowing dance of Amrita Hepi and Taimania Foa’i. Contemporary dancer Bhenji Ra provided movement direction and choreography for the captivating clip, which suits the suave and entrancing track to a T.
