Noonie Bao – ‘Reminds Me’

Noonie Bao is the latest hot thing to come out of Sweden…which, thinking about it now, has probably the highest hot to cold ratio in the world.

Anyway, this singer/songwriter/producer, who’s worked with Charlie XCX, Clean Bandit and Avicii, has a new single out, Reminds Me, which is about Noonie Bao thinking about something or other.

Directed by Sebastian Mlynarski – who’s made documentaries and Miike Snow’s Animal, amongst other things – and shot in California’s notorious Death Valley, the clip features Noonie Bao acting in several locations, all with a majestic backdrop.

The sharp colouring of Noonie Bao performing the song is inter-spliced with a rather impressive and sometimes frenetic scrapbook-inspired cutting and re-pasting of images and scenes, that conveys the haphazard and awkward emotions behind the song’s lyrics.
