Parklife DJs: Oakes & Lennox On MFTV, Sydney 2012

The tale behind Oakes & Lennox is something you don’t see too often in DJ/producers these days. Though it’s not uncommon for friends to catch the EDM bug towards the end of school, few actually manage to stick with it and get to the career level. They caught up with Feeds to explain the whole thing.

Seduced by the nightclub scene from the early age of 18, the duo got their first decks just in time to distract them from the torture of the HSC. Though that opportunity cost is looking like it paid off in their favour now that they will be returning to Parklife for the 2nd year in a row. Though they joined the scene at a young age, the pair let their music and charm do all the talking, and straight from the get-go they received massive amounts of support, which has continued to grow over the years.

Teaming up with some of their seniors who mentored them through the early stages, and taking in all the greatness oozed by those they have shared stages with, Oakes & Lennox are now determined to keep head and shoulders above the ever-threatening wave of DJs that came after them. Now with some releases in the beta stages, it’s looking like the Sydney lads will be doing just that.
