Poliça – ‘Summer Please’ (Live In The Sydney Opera House Ballet Rehearsal Room)

Minneapolis quartet Poliça were in the country earlier this year for VIVID Live, and while they were here they recorded this stunning live video in the Ballet Rehearsal Room of the Sydney Opera House.

They performed Summer Please, off their excellent 2016 record United Crushers, and it’s pretty mesmerising footage.

It’s full of beautiful shots of the Opera House, as well as short soundbites by frontwoman Channy Leaneagh, who explains why we all relate to music because, “It speaks from a language that we all understand.”

Illuminated by lights, Poliça deliver a pretty special performance, aided by the song’s pulsating beats and ethereal vocals.

If you got to see them at the Opera House, this will simply be a nostalgia trip for you, but if you didn’t then you’re going to suffer some serious FOMO.
