Soundwave 2015: Falling In Reverse On ‘Just Like You’ And Why They Won’t Play Songs You Don’t Know

Falling In Reverse are one of a handful of bands who are are making their debut trip to Australia for Soundwave 2015 and they’ve got a brand new album, Just Like You, in hand.

Just Like You came out last Friday and the band are playing some of the songs live for the first time at the moment. “We didn’t want to play anything that wasn’t out yet,” the band’s drummer Ryan Seaman explained. “We didn’t want anybody to be searching YouTube and hearing a crappy audio version of the song.”

“If people don’t know the songs beforehand it’s like, why play songs people don’t know.”

Luckily for fans of the new album, now the record is out the band will be playing the new tracks from it at Soundwave. Seaman said of the album, “I think already that everyone’s really excited about this record.”

The band advanced streamed the LP last week and the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. “Everything was just blowing up on our timelines, on our social medias, I couldn’t wake up without getting a million notifications,” Seaman said.
