Soundwave 2015: Papa Roach On Their “Last Rock Record” ‘F.E.A.R’

Papa Roach are currently touring in Australia for the first time in 12 years with Soundwave, promoting tracks from their new record F.E.A.R.

“I wanted to write the rock record that could be the last rock record that I ever wrote”, frontman Jacoby Shaddix told Music Feeds of the new album, their first in three years.

Shaddix considered heavily the power of the band’s lyrics for fans saying, “If this were the last message I was going to send to the world through music, “What would I say?”

“I saw the true power in music”, Shaddix said, describing the album as one of the most honest records he’s ever written pulling a lot of material from his own relationships. “I used my brokenness to ultimately become one of my strengths,” he continued.

Papa Roach’s breakthrough album Infest turns 15 this year. Shaddix also revealed to Music Feeds that the band plans to play the record live in its entirety this year.
