Stone Sour (Corey Taylor) – ‘House of Gold & Bones, Pt 2′ – ‘82’

Interview by Marc Zanotti

Billed as a “flashback song” and “the catalyst for how this all started”, Corey Taylor has described 82 as a track that soundtracks the character realising his previous actions and how he can get his life back on track.

He also believes that listeners can use the song to think about their own actions and allow themselves to see the light for a brighter future if they change some of their bad habits.

“The track is heavy-duty, but it’s a great statement to hang on to, because if you get back into that mindset, you can get away from it,” he says.

“It doesn’t have to be in that moment, it can be in every moment in your life – once I get away from here, or here, I know I’m going to be OK.”

Corey Taylor came into Music Feeds Studio to break down Stone Sour’s House of Gold & Bones – Part 2 track by track. Feeds will be releasing the interviews all week long, giving fans an insight into the complex narrative and thought process behind House of Gold & Bones.
