Stone Sour (Corey Taylor) – ‘House of Gold & Bones, Pt 2′ – ‘Gravesend’

Interview by Marc Zanotti

Named after the graveyard in which the protagonist finds himself, Gravesend is one of the more atmospheric tracks off the album and put guitarists Josh Rand and Jim Root to the test when creating the mood.

Having finally discovered the answers to his questions, the human isn’t very pleased with what he has learned. Taylor describes the story as “retroactive” with the character rediscovering past memories but also dealing with the “culmination of the journey” setting up the final scene of the act.

Corey Taylor came into Music Feeds Studio to break down Stone Sour’s House of Gold & Bones – Part 2 track by track. Feeds will be releasing the interviews all week long, giving fans an insight into the complex narrative and thought process behind House of Gold & Bones.
