Surecut Kids On MFTV, Sydney 2012

Music Feeds caught up with Surecut Kids at Whaat Club in Kings Cross ahead of their appearance at smashing new bass-heavy club night Burss! Surecut Kids have a host of experience exploding Australian dance floors, having torn up all the major Australian festivals in their time behind the decks.

Utilising 4 turntables and an MPC sample pad in their live show, they try to give a different vibe, giving us a mash-up of Dr Dre on an MPC sample pad as a taster in the warm-up.

Surecut Kids’ sound is self-professed as “the antipasto of music”, their live set traversing through many genres, including trap, dubstep, moombahton and hip hop. They are currently working on a new album to be released on their Club Kids label, which will be a taste of all their diverse musical stylings.

Surecut Kids give Music Feeds the low down on the new genre of trap and whether it will be the new dubstep, and why moombahton is being favoured by their production efforts right now.
