Having survived Big Day Out, Laneway Festival, two national tours, two US tours, as well as the Victorian Bushfires, The Drones are not a band to sit back back and twiddle their thumbs, preferring instead to sit back and wrench forth nuggets of distorted guitar glory while writing creepy sermon-esque tales of the modern world.

Catching up with bassist Fiona Kitchin and drummer Mike Noga a few months ago on the eve of their last show in Sydney, Mikey got the skinny on the band’s athleteic prowess.
