The Jungle Giants – Mr Polite

Brisbane band The Jungle Giants have just released a debut video clip for their latest single Mr Polite. The concept is a little bit left of centre, but superbly creative and full of the same charm and character that fans are growing to expect from the indie-pop quartet.

Crafted over the space of three weekends (and a lot of late nights), the clip delves deep into the world of stop-motion animation using over 2900 hand-drawn frames throughout. The project was led by Brisbane-based director Anthony Salsone, who has previously worked on video clips for The Medics Beggars and Greenthief Vultures. The creative team also included highly skilful illustrators Kelly Rowe and Stefano Roselli, both full-time practising graphic designers.

Having released their debut EP in May, The Jungle Giants are finishing an enormous year with Mr Polite receiving generous rotation from youth broadcasters triple j. The band is currently supporting Ball Park Music on their national album tour and will be heading back into the studio to conclude their 2011. Be sure to keep an eye out for more of their own dates throughout November and December.
