WATCH: Bloods – ‘Language’

Sydney punk brats Bloods have returned with a new music video for their latest single, Language, a track taken from their Golden Fang EP which dropped in late 2013.

Edited by the group’s drummer Dirk Jonker, the video features footage recorded during the band’s EP recording sessions in the Hunter Valley, NSW, as well as live footage from their 2013 performance at Sydney’s Enmore Theatre.

A song about the challenges of being a confident young female, Language rides on its melodic baselines, signature Bloods harmonies and 90s punk riffing. The track was written just days before the recording of Golden Fang, with its first public performance being recorded direct to tape.

Bloods had quite a busy 2013. They releases their aforementioned debut EP to considerable hype, received an FBi SMAC Award nomination for Best Live Act and played sold out shows on their debut headline tour. With the band heading off to record their debut album shortly, and with a number of festival and headlining dates announced, 2014 is looking just as busy.
