WATCH: Little Bastard – ‘High For You’

Little Bastard announced their debut album back in January, when the buzz generated by their showcase at last year’s BIGSOUND in Brisbane was still resonating. One signing to ABC Music imprint FOUR | FOUR later, and the band have unveiled the record’s first single, High For You, a song about “being reckless for the one you love and the crazy repercussions that come of it.”

This Sydney seven-piece came together in 2012 when Johnny Took (vocals/guitar) met Ross Tipper (percussion/harmonica/vocals) in a pub. The bastards soon multiplied and got to working on a punky mesh of guitars, bass, fiddle, banjo, harmonica, and mandolin, which they were soon taking to recording sessions at Sydney’s Jungle Studios with Jezabels producer Lachlan Mitchell.

With those sessions now over and the band poised to drop one of 2014’s most highly anticipated debuts, fans can now enjoy the group’s latest music video, comprised of footage taken on the road and in the studio, and which captures a band without inhibitions, who leave audiences sweaty, breathless, and heading towards a heavy hangover.
