WATCH: The Little Stevies – ‘I Hold My Breath’

Talented young Melbourne outfit The Little Stevies have announced their return with a new music video for their elegiac yet triumphant new single I Hold My Breath, taken from their 2013 album, Diamonds For Your Tea. I Hold My Breath is a heart-stirring and deeply intimate portrait of a person on the outside looking in.

“The song describes the private turmoil and social turmoil that can develop from being single over a long period of time,” said songwriter Bethany Stephen, the younger of the band’s two Stephen sisters. “We’ve decided to premiere it on Valentine’s Day; share it with your single friends!”

The single is accompanied by the announcement of a new tour from the group, following-on from their 2013 tour in support of Diamonds For Your Tea, which received wide acclaim for the band’s musicianship and intimate playing style. The new tour will see the sisters supporting Canadian folk trio The Good Lovelies, having previously met in the band’s home country and instantly forming a bond with their good-humoured Canuck peers.
