WATCH: The Notwist – ‘Kong’

German indie-rockers The Notwist have released the animated music video for Kong, a cut from their forthcoming eighth studio album Close To Glass, directed by Yu Sato.

The clip depicts a man trying to escape a flood which eventually turns into a kaiju monster. It’s all set within the frame of an old TV set, and the cartoon-like animation is both colourful and charming. When all seems lost for our protagonist, King Kong tries to save him. But does he succeed? Watch and find out.

The propulsive jaunt is the second single to be released from The Notwist’s second full-length studio album, Close to the Glass. The album is slated for a 21st February release via Spunk, and is the follow-up to their acclaimed 2008 effort, The Devil, You + Me.

Close To The Glass, The Notwist’s first album in six year, is out 25th February.
