WATCH: The Used – ‘Cry’

Utah rock quartet The Used are back in business, gearing up for the release of studio album number six, Imaginary Enemy, and today giving us the first taste in the form of lead single Cry, complete with video.

Cry is a return to form for Bert McCracken and friends, a spitting, snarling song about breaking up and getting even: ‘Love is not a battlefield / It’s a ticking time bomb’. And the clip’s got all the angst you could want from the outfit, with abandoned warehouses, gas masks and lonely deserts.

Imaginary Enemy, the follow-up to 2012’s Vulnerable, is out in Australia on Friday, 28th March through Hopeless Records, with us folk Down Under getting the record a few days before the rest of the world.
