Central Coast folk duo Winterbourne are about to set out on their first ever headline tour, traipsing the east coast in support of their debut EP All But The Sun and its single Steady My Bones, the video for which is premiering right here on Music Feeds this morning.
After meeting the high school, the pair have been consistently performing over the last few years, alternating between their disciplined weekend busking routine on Sydney and Melbourne streets with gigs and festival appearances including the Rocks Australia Day Festival and Mountain Sounds.
The nostalgic Steady My Bones video was directed by Tim Glastonbury and follows a group of curious kids and their ability to perceive the world as a never-ending adventure, all soundtracked by Winterbourne’s warm harmonies and delicate strings.
“When listening to Steady My Bones, you are driven into a carefree and adventurous world,” explains Glastonbury. “The track allowed me to dive into my childhood love of ’80s adventure films and recreate somehow a world where kids’ imagination still dominates and can yet not be corrupted by reality. There’s a definite nod to that in this video.”
Having previously toured nationally with Patrick James and Little May, the boys of Winterbourne will now be taking the single and their EP to audiences at their own headline shows. They’ll be joined by singer-songwriter Gordi and other special guests including Paul Conrad, Young Vincent, Dan White and Nathan Hawes.
