You might wanna start stocking up on tissues now, as there’s a new documentary about the late Amy Winehouse being released this November.
The documentary, as reported by Paper, will be released in early November, and will focus on the making of Winehouse’s last studio album before her passing. Fittingly, the film is titled Amy Winehouse – Back To Black.
In the trailer, Winehouse speaks of how important Back to Black was to her personally.
“I brought out an album that I’m really proud of about a bad situation that I got through that’s pretty much where it begins and ends for me,” she said.
The doco, released by independent Canadian film production company Eagle Vision, will also feature an intimate live performance by Winehouse, recorded in 2008, titled An Intimate Evening in London.
Of course, Back To Black, released in 2006, was a groundbreaking success and is the second-best selling album in the UK of the 21st century, following Adele’s 21.
As we all know, this isn’t the first eerie doco about Winehouse. 2015’s Amy, directed by Asif Kapadia, was a massive critical success, even picking up the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature.
