Thelma Plum Releases Cathartic New Single & Video ‘Not Angry Anymore’

Thelma Plum (Gamilaraay) has released a new single Not Angry Anymore, a track all about emotional release.

Following up last year’s Clumsy Love which earned itself #79 in triple j’s Hottest 100 over the weekend, the new track contains similar themes.

Thelma says, “Not Angry Anymore is about healing, forgiveness and understanding that we aren’t always in control of everyone’s actions and we can only take responsibility for our own happiness.

“Though sometimes that process can be a long and difficult one.”

Thelma’s unique voice and succinct lyrics coupled with the neatly arranged percussion makes for a super upbeat and catchy tune.

The track’s accompanying film clip was created by Her Sound, Her Story’s Claudia Dallimore.

On working with Dallimore, Plum says, “I am so lucky to have a great working relationship with the amazing Claudia Dallimore.

“She found the most beautiful old, dilapidated house that was planning on being demolished and we went wild in there creating our own little world for a weekend.”

Thelma Plum has some upcoming festival dates, playing Laneway Festival (Girls Rock!) in Melbourne next weekend as well as WOMADelaide and Groovin’ the Moo.
