Sharon Osbourne Reveals Full Details Of Health Scare That Forced Ozzy To Pull Out Of Download Festival

Sharon Osbourne has spilled the bat’s blood on the health woes that forced her hubby The Prince Of Darkness to pull the plug on a string of international live dates this year, including his gig headlining Download Festival Australia.

Ozzy has been in the absolute wars, first hospitalised with pneumonia and then suffering a nasty fall that saw him dislodge a bunch of metal rods that were already inside his body (yes, Ozzy literally does have metal in his bones).

“He, at the beginning of the year, had a bad flu that went to bronchitis, that went to pneumonia,” Shaz told US tele show The Talk. “And then when he had the flu, he came out of hospital and he had a bad accident at home.

“He fell. And he fell in the middle of the night. And years ago, previously, he had a motorbike accident, where he was in a coma for days. And what he’d done was, he re-injured his back and neck and shoulders.

Sharon added: “All of the metal rods and everything that were put in his body were dislodged. So we had to cancel his year events. But he’s good, he’s fine, he’s great.”

Sharon’s words come after Ozzy himself recently expressed annoyance about his cancelled and postponed dates in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and more.

“I can’t believe I have to reschedule more tour dates,” he said. “Words cannot express how frustrated, angry and depressed I am not to be able to tour right now. I’m grateful for the love and support I’m getting from my family, my band, friends and fans, it’s really what’s keeping me going.

“Just know that I am getting better every day…I will fully recover…I will finish my tour…I will be back!”
