Sydney Northern Beaches rockers Lime Cordiale have given us a brand new song today, entitled ‘Robbery’.
It’s come with a video too. It sees one half of Lime Cordiale, Louis Leimbach run all over the world in search of a girl. The one who stole his heart — get it? Robbery… Anyway, he runs through Paris, Brighton, and Sydney to name a couple of destinations.
The song is full of infectious hooks and is a real jam. On the track, Louis Leimbach says, “I love the 60’s feel to the song. The whole song could just be a baritone sax and a snare and all the main elements would be there. The song all started with that line: ‘Hey, there’s been a robbery.’
“When you meet someone, even just for a moment, they make an impact and then they’re gone. You’re left feeling robbed. You feel as though you need to find them somehow but it’s no use. We played the song at pretty much every show throughout Europe. We slipped it in as a little secret addition, and it felt great even though no one knew what the hell was going on.”
Last week, Lime Cordiale announced they’d signed a label deal with Post Malone and his manager Dre London.
They’ve also added a bunch of new shows to their already packed national tour, kicking off next month. Check out the new dates and the video for ‘Robbery’ below.
