It’s coming up to the five year anniversary of the tragic terrorist attack that took place at an Eagles Of Death Metal concert at Bataclan in Paris, and now Queens Of The Stone Age are hosting a benefit livestream in commemoration.
The livestream will feature previously unseen footage of the band performing, as reported by Consequence of Sound, with all proceeds from the event going to those impacted by the 2015 attack, which killed 90 people.
Though QOTSA frontman Josh Homme is a member of Eagles Of Death Metal, he was absent for the performance.
Homme revealed news of the livestream on social media, explaining that footage would be taken from the band’s 2018 performance at our very own Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) in Tasmania.
“This show was originally to benefit the Children’s Hospital of Hobart, Tasmania, and we’re pleased it has a second chance to do some good,” Homme said in a statement.
“2020 is a really messed up year, and people in need need you more than ever. Donate what you can, if you can.”
The live-stream will kick off at the wee hours of 4am AEDT on the band’s YouTube channel in case you want to tune in.
