Lana Del Rey Continues To Tease Blue Banisters With ‘Arcadia’

After putting another new release date on her Blue Banisters record, Lana Del Rey has dropped the fourth track from the album in ‘Arcadia’.

The release of ‘Arcadia’ follows on from the trio of songs Lana released earlier this year – ‘Text Book’, ‘Blue Banisters’ and ‘Wildflower Wildifire’ – and is likely to be a vibe if you were obsessed with ‘Video Games’ all the way back in 2011.

The lyrics, hazy and seductive, against an arrangement of piano and horns; ‘Arcadia’ is pretty classic Lana Del Rey fare. Along with the track itself, Lana dropped an accompanying music video – directed by herself – that adds to the hazy nature of it all. Until you get to the final minute, that is.

Blue Banisters is now set to be released on October 22nd. It was originally supposed to be released on July 4th, but was then pushed back.

Of the new track, Lana explained to fans on Instagram how ‘Arcadia’ would play into the wider Blue Banisters collection.

“I guess you could say this album is about what it was like, what happened, and what it’s like now.” she wrote.

“If you’re interested go back and listen to the first three songs I put out earlier. They chronicle the beginning. This song hits somewhere in the middle and by the time the record drops you will hear where we’re at today. As much as the on going criticism has been trying, it at least has pushed me to explore my own family tree, to dig deep, and to continue to exhibit the fact that God only cares about how I move through the world.”
