Fans of British electronic rock legends Muse were through a bit of a curve ball with the recently released album teaser. For those of you who didn’t check it out, have a listen. Is that…dubstep?
Many reports of the album say that it will be “dubstep-tinged”. I’d say Stereoboard got it right when they speculated the single will be an anthemic composition, worthy of an olympic opening ceremony. The track will be one of two expected to be released around the time of the opening ceremony.
The band has told Kerrang that their direction for the trio’s sixth studio album would be “something radically different”. The track will be debuted on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 program, which you can source here . People are expecting big things from the band who are headlining the world famous £27million gig. The album is set to drop September 17.
