Sydney heavy outfit Northlane have become unlikely collaborators with Fatboy Slim, dropping a cover of the dance legend’s 2013 hit ‘Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat’ right here on Music Feeds.
The metalcore band’s unique take on the song is from an upcoming remix EP called Fatboy Slim VS Australia, and the cover manages to mix elements from the electro and hardcore worlds into one epic sonic heap.

“Reinterpreting this song and adding a little bit of the Northlane sound into it was a challenge for us, and we hope that we’ve done it justice,” the band tell Music Feeds.
“We believe that the metal and electronic genres share many similarities and we’re thrilled we got the opportunity to contribute to this release.
“Fatboy Slim is an iconic name in electronic music and for many of us, our first introduction to techno. This in turn has lead us down a rabbit hole of new genres and inspired us to take risks with our music.”
Northlane’s cover of ‘Eat, Sleep, Rave, Repeat’ is their first new release since covering Silverchair’s ‘Anthem For The Year 2000’.
The band are one of seven acts who appear on the Fatboy Slim VS Australia, which is set for release on Friday, 19th January. Other acts to feature on the EP include producers The Aston Shuffle, Set Mo and The Kite String Tangle, who already shared his remix of ‘Praise You’.
Fatboy Slim will headline Electric Gardens festival later this year, while Northlane are set to perform at Download Festival Melbourne in March.
