A Perfect Circle Announce New Album For Release In 2017

Rock supergroup A Perfect Circle have confirmed they’ve got a new album due for release this year, as part of their triumphant comeback after their last album, 2004’s eMOTIVe.

The band, which features Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan, Billy Howerdel, Matt McJunkins, Jeff Friedl and ex-Smashing Pumpkin James Iha, have signed a new worldwide record deal with BMG, and are currently working on a new full-length studio album to be released 13 years after their previous one.

In a press release from BMG, Howerdel says, “We just signed a new record deal with BMG! Looking forward to sharing new music with you soon. New APC-2017!”

While the news is great for fans of A Perfect Circle, it’s not so great for fans of Tool, who are still patiently waiting for the Maynard James Keenan-fronted group to release the follow-up to their 2006 album 10,000 Days. Luckily, it looks like that album might not be too far off either.

Could we get new Tool and A Perfect Circle albums in the same year??

A Perfect Circle will begin their first North American tour since 2011 next week, but are yet to announce any new shows outside of the US. Fingers crossed that changes soon.
